Hello, my name is Ryan Hazelton. Originally from San Diego where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Communications from UC San Diego, I moved to San Francisco over 15 years ago in pursuit of a career in digital advertising. After a few years, I left the tech sector to dive into nonprofit fundraising at Holy Family Day Home, a SF nonprofit preschool in the Mission providing early childhood education and family support services. I continued to fundraise as the Senior Philanthropy Officer at Safe & Sound, a SF based children’s advocacy organization focused on child abuse prevention. Prior to joining Mariposa Kids, I served as Interim Development Director at Gateway Public Schools in SF.
In the community, I sit on the Board of Directors at 18 Reasons, am a member of the SF Child Care Planning & Advisory Council (CPAC) and am a member of the SF Children & Youth Fund's Service Providers Working Group. I am also a 2023 alumnus of Leadership San Francisco and a 2019 alumnus of the New Leaders Council - SF. I serve as an Emeritus Board Member at both Tandem - Partners in Early Learning, and the Thomas Edison Charter Academy after serving as President/Chair of each organization's Board of Directors. |
Hey everyone! My name is Jaycee and I was born and raised in San Francisco. As a first generation Filipino American, I have always been involved with my community and the struggles that we face. Throughout my life, I have witnessed the workings of many great strong community leaders. By seeing the love and resiliency of these great people, I was inspired to do the same. With the help of my community, I graduated from California State University Monterey Bay. I received my degree in Humanities and Communications with a concentration in Creative Writing and Social Action.
My professional experiences include working as a teacher at SFUSD, a STEAM/LST Specialist with the YMCA, and a Middle School Program Coordinator with WestBay Pilipino Multi-Service Inc. In my free time, I like to junk journal, crochet/knit, and explore the city.

Hello my name is Mercedes Arroyo, a proud San Francisco native with a deep commitment to the nonprofit sector. Inspired by the personal experiences and opportunities I received as a child, I have dedicated my career to supporting low income-students and families including professional experience at Hamilton Families and the Salvation Army's KROC Center. I am passionate about building relationships with the community I am a part of. While also creating safe spaces where children can fully express themselves and thrive. My mission is to ensure that every child has the chance to succeed. When I am not at Mariposa Kids I enjoy spending time with family, friends or traveling. I enjoy my time most when I am able to be spontaneous, adventurous, and creative.

My name is Ahminah Bailey. I have worked with children most of my life , whether it was day care, summer camps, dance studios, winter and or Holiday camps. I am currently studying Dance & Psychology at San Francisco State University. I’m am looking to become a dance movement Therapist for all ages. I enjoy lots of arts & crafts which fuel more of my creativity as a dancer!

Hello! My name is Anndre Gomez. I'm born and raised in San Francisco and excited to start this journey with students and families of Mariposa Kids. I have been working with youth programs for over 6 years, and currently pursuing to become a teacher in the near future. My experiences branch from working at The Salvation Army Kroc Center After School Program and Mission Graduates at Marshall Elementary School. I find joy and excitement working with students and dedicated to pursue a career in the education field.
I enjoy being outdoors, playing soccer, and being with friends and family.
