Mariposa Kids knows that in order to best serve the community, our services need to be made available to a broad range of families in the neighborhood. To increase access to our After-School Program, Holiday Camps, and Summer Camps, Mariposa Kids provides $60,000-85,000 worth of financial assistance to income qualifying families annually. Our board policy dictates that at least 10% of our annual budget be allocated to financial assistance and we strive to reach over 20%. This means for an annual operating budget of $300,000, we will provide financial assistance valued at over $60,000.
To qualify, families simply provide their household size and adjusted gross income from the prior tax year in a signed attestation form. Our goal is to make the process easy for families as we know those who need resources like our Financial Assistance Program are often juggling multiple jobs, child care, and transportation needs for their family. In order to qualify for full assistance, families must fall into the Extremely Low or Very Low household income categories as outlined by the CA Department of Housing and Community Development - Division of Housing Policy Development for San Francisco County.

Attendance Policy for Financial Assistance: To ensure limited resources are distributed to those who need them, we have implemented this attendance policy for those who receive financial assistance from Mariposa Kids.
