NEW COMMUNITY THRIFT PARTNERSHIP!
Community Thrift Store is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that partners with us and other Bay Area charities to provide an opportunity for revenue via in-kind donations to their shop in the Mission. Simply put: You can turn your couch into cash for our cause.

All you have to do is select us as your charity when you donate your gently used clothing, furniture, books, and home decor. The proceeds from the sale of your items will be earmarked for our organization. Disbursements are made to us on a quarterly basis.

Our mission is to support and inspire children’s natural curiosity and independence through free play during their out-of-school time. We envision vibrant communities that support the social emotional growth of all children through friendship and play.

Mariposa Kids offers free play based programming including our After-School Program, Holiday Camps, and Summer Camps. Our programs are centered around: Safe Space - Free Play - Community. Combining unstructured play time with engaging planned activities that take place both inside and outside help children develop their social emotional skills while exploring the world around them.

Mariposa Kids provides programming for children ages 5-11 in the Mission District of San Francisco. Children who attend Mariposa Kids will have their natural curiosity inspired and supported, while also building a deepened sense of independence as they further their social emotional learning in the process.

While focusing on quality out-of-school time programming, we also provide opportunities to serve the community through public space activation, family engagement, and leadership growth for children, teenagers, and college students. By increasing access to safe outdoor space, Mariposa Kids promotes outdoor activities that include playground use and sports, so that children increase their average time outdoors on a daily and weekly basis. Join us for PLAY!
